Abstract: A new method for determining the surface energy characteristics (σ_SV, σ_SV^d, σ_SV^p) of high-energy solid surfaces (primarily pure metals) has been developed. The method is based on the application of the universal capillary pressure equation obtained in the new alternative wetting theory. As an example of using the proposed method, the surface energy characteristics of the glass of capillary tubes from the work [5] are determined.
